Nahvalur Schuylkill Fountain Pen In Cichlid Purple

Introduced at the Philadelphia Pen Show in 2020, the Nahvalur Schuylkill fountain pen (pronounced Skool-kill) takes its name from the river that runs through Philadelphia. Besides giving their pens hard-to-pronounce names, Nahvalur anchors most of their pen designs with an aquatic theme. The “Cichlid Purple” is a new color for 2023, named after a colorful type of fish often seen in aquariums.

Nahvalur crafts the tapered, cylindrical shape of the Schuylkill from solid acrylic resin. The “Cichlid Purple” design combines whirls of vibrant purple and dark blue. Rose gold accents this richly colored pen. A transparent ink window, visible even when the pen is capped, allows the writer to see the remaining ink inside the pen. The writer draws ink directly into the pen’s barrel using the traditional, built-in piston mechanism. To the point, each Nahvalur Schuylkill writes with a number 6-sized stainless steel nib made in-house by Nahvalur.
